When you are coming into Kas from the mountains, where you see the blue sky touching the turquoise sea, it makes you feel like your heart will stop. At that moment you will know that your dream holiday starts!
This little compact town will have so much to offer for holidaymakers. You can have a relaxing holiday on the beach or you can have a full of adventure activities that will keep you busy for the rest of your time in town. Kas is between 2 famous international airports (Dalaman and Antalya) that you can almost travel all year round. It may not be easy to get however, it is worth it all the effort. If you book your holiday with a travel agency, they will organise your pick up from the airport or you can always get the airport transport to town. If you are flying from Europe, there are package holidays will include the hotel in your booking which you can choose the best deal for your budget.
My mum has a restaurant called the Blue House in the town centre. Where you can sit back at the terrace and enjoy your drink with your home-cooked delicious food, where you can watch them preparing in front of you. They buy high-quality products only from local producers and suppliers.
You can have fresh fish and excellent meat selection or if you are Vegetarian or Vegan there are many great options to choose from daily and freshly cooked dishes.

Where you can wander around for many hours to find the best handcraft shops, amazing carpets, the best collection of handmade silver jewellery shops, glass artwork and local designer clothes. Friday is a bazaar day in Kas for the locals and tourist, don’t miss out. where you can find different local cheeses to Turkish delights, clothing for very reasonable prices.
If you are in town and wanna try the Turkish Pide you should visit Ora restaurant at any time of the day. If you miss your steak, you should visit Zaika Restaurant in the town centre. There is anything and everything you wish to eat you will find in Kas. After your dinner, don’t forget to try the Turkish ice cream.
Time for the Turquoise blue beaches, my favourite beach always been Kaputas. Halfway between Kas and another beautiful town Kalkan. Soft sands and perfect waves with an incredible backdrop of mountains will place you in a piece of haven.
There is easy access to beaches in walking distance to the town centre like Derya Beach, Kucuk Cakil and Buyuk Cakil beach where you can find sunbeds and great restaurants to choose from. In Kas water is always colder than other places.
Outstanding day trip to Kalkan is about half an hour drive to Kas. Laid-back harbourside, chillout rooftop restaurants will offer you a fabulous view of the town.
When you are in Kas, a day trip to Meis will be the best opportunity to experience the Greek island life. Meis is only 20 minutes boat trip from Kas main harbour where you can book your ticket.
When you are in Kas make sure you visit Saklikent and Patara beach,
Saklikent Canyon is an excellent alternative to escape from the hot summer days with its fresh air and colder water. The canyon runs 11 miles and reaches 200 meters of height. If you spend the lunchtime, you can enjoy the homemade Turkish pastries or a fresh fish with a cold Turkish beer in one of the local restaurants.
In the afternoon you can visit Patara, 11 miles of unspoilt beach. Locals say Patara beach has been a home for Loggerhead turtles for last 40 million years, where they been a protected species which has been laying its eggs!
For your day trips, you can hire a car for a fair rate from Kas town centre, or you can always use the minibuses goes all day long from very early in the morning to very late at night and all around Kas.
In Kas, you will find out there are not enough days to visit every place you would like to see,
One of the best ways to explore Kas and its surroundings is by boat and must spend at least one day on a boat tour. You can have a full-day boat trip with meals to Kekova. The Trip starts early in the morning and depart from the old harbour. You will be able to see a canyon and cave first than you will go to aquarium Bay. You can swim around and snorkel, meet sea life in the area. You will be back at 6 pm.
If you love diving, you are in the right place! You are very likely to see both fishes and sea turtles. There are many companies you can choose to dive.
If you are after an adrenaline rush, canyoning or paragliding will be an exciting way to enjoy the day. You can organise your trips by the travel agents in the central town.
