There’s nothing like a juicy burger on a homemade bun, stacked high with crunchy pickles, crispy bacon and melted any kind of cheese topped with a generous dollop of ketchup and homemade mustard mayo. Let’s not forget to add some crunchy lettuce and slice of tomato to complete it!

This has been my favourite burger patty recipe for many years, loved by my customers and loved ones
Ingredient
- 1 kg coarsely ground minced beef
- ½ cup breadcrumb
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 medium sautéed onion
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl all the products by hand until the meat mixture is smooth.
Divide the hamburger patty mixture into 6 patties
One at a time, press the patties firmly. Shape them just slightly larger than the buns Set the patties on the baking sheet. Press a dent in the centre of each patty so they don’t puff up as they cook.
Preheat the grill or a skillet to medium heat.
Grill or fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
