Slice of delicious chocolate sponge cake with easy recipe

Nothing can stop me-with cake!

 Hi there,

Finally, I’m here!!!

Thank you for joining me on my first blog.

Some of you recognize me, some I hope you will stay on my blog and get to know me.

I have been around food and good chefs since I was little. Cooking has always been my passion. I love reading, searching, dreaming and creating new recipes than trying them on my friends and family.

I had the chance to run many businesses over the years where I can try and exercise my skills and help others.

I will love to share stories about my travelling, give you ideas about the places to go, what to eat, and how to enjoy your journey.

Some days will be recipes that you can cook with your friends and family, some days will be videos with me where we can have fun together in the kitchen.

If any of you have read my journey you may think where the animals fit into this?

Some days I will like to share happy stories about animals, recipes for pet food, and the information I learned over the years and advice from experts.

For the greater good, I will love to be able to help and support animals in need, Sometimes with your help.

Now more than ever, we need to learn to love and protect people, animals and the Planet

Today I will share one of my famous cake recipes

Cigdem’s favourite Chocolate Sponge Cake with Chocolate Sauce

it is realy easy to make and use a cup to measure the main ingredients. No weighing scalesare needed!

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 3/4 cup of sifted self-rising flour

1 cup of boiling water

FOR THE SAUCE

2 soup spoon dark cocoa powder

1/2 cup of boiling water

1 cup of sugar

TO MAKE THE CAKE

Mix eggs, sugar, milk, oil, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla and cocoa powder

 Add sifted flour and mix

 Add boiling water and mix

Bake in 175 C warm fan oven for 35 min

You can use 22 cm round or square baking tin or any other similar size trays you wish as long as high enough to add the sauce over it

TO MAKE THE SAUCE

Add the boiling water in the end and mix

When your cake is baked you need to put your sauce over it soon as comes out of the oven.

This is one of the easiest cake you can bake long as you add a cup of love in the end!!!

    1. Hi Lyn
You can freeze it as a small portion and have it later on. Let me know if you try it. ❤️

  2. This sounds very like our old family favourite but a nicer dash of chocolate and then the additional chocolate sauce! Yum! Will try it, when I get this new oven cracking!
    Thank you and good luck!
